Position Descriptions

President

Responsible for leading the executive board, leading general body meetings, and in charge of the Chapter as a whole. Must agree to a one-year term.

Vice President

In charge of leading a team of members in the Bateman Campaign competition. Also aids the President in leading the Chapter. Responsible for scheduling shadow day visits and coordinating conference information and attendees. May assist the director of finance with fundraisers. Must agree to a one-year term.

Director of Finance

Manages Chapter funds and keeps track of finances which includes keeping track of who has paid dues and collecting the money. Also responsible for assisting in fundraising events. Must agree to a one-year term.

Director of Internal Communication

Responsible for distributing information to the Chapter members and keeping everyone up-to-date on PRSSA news, events, and meetings.

Director of Digital Media

Responsible for managing and creating engaging content for all PRSSA social media accounts. Also responsible for creating and posting flyers promoting PRSSA meetings.

Director of Member Relations

Responsible for developing and executing recruitment tactics such as classroom visits, tabling, and participating in the student organization fairs. Also responsible for making sure PRSSA meets all student organization requirements dictated by the Office of Student Activities (OSA) which includes obtaining the necessary Wings points.

Director of Diversity & Inclusion

Responsible for promoting National PRSSA’s diversity initiatives throughout the year. Lead and assist in development of the Chapter’s diversity and inclusion initiatives. Work with the Director of Member Relations to assist in diversity & inclusion recruitment and with the Director of Digital Media to create/curate content to share on the Chapter’s social media platforms.

Firm Director

Charged with running the day-to-day operations of the firm (PRoud Eagle), recruiting clients, as well as recruiting students to participate. Responsible for distributing and completing work as it pertains to any clients the firm has. Responsible for the publication of a Chapter newsletter, as well as managing and recruiting writers for the Chapter blog to keep it up-to-date.

ALL Executive Board Members must be able to meet once a week AND attend each General Body meeting (absences must be discussed with the president & faculty adviser)  ― Executive Board meetings on weeks where there is not a general body meeting and General Body meetings are every other Wednesday at 6 p.m.
